The ICT Training
course is implemented over four semesters and classroom size will be limited to
approximately fifteen students in order to ensure an optimal amount of interaction
between student and instructor.

Semester 1:
Computer Networking: including Microsoft Windows NT, Linux and other open systems,
Cisco routing and switching, client-server configurations, and development of local
area networks.

Semester 2:
Larger scale networks, internet access, Virtual Private Networks, the World Wide
Web, firewalls and network security, TCP-IP, and Wireless Networks. IT project management.

Semester 3:
Basic Telecommunications: telephone systems, routing and cabling, wire and fiber
optic systems, fiber to the premise.

Semester 4:
Wireless Telecommunications: including cellular, satellite, and radio communications.
The second half of the semester will focus on management of telecom projects, and
general management within the context of the business environment.
Students have four
hours of classroom studies from 8 am to 12 pm followed by hands on training from
1 pm to 3:30 pm. Hands on training, or ATVI's "Externship Program" includes providing
repair and configuration services for private and government entities. Funds generated
from the ICT services will be used to aid ATVI in its goal of becoming a self sustaining
institute.
